As an actor, i always wonder what it is that makes that happen for me. There are very few actors that have that capacity to keep my absolutely riveted to their every move, gesture. i was blown away by you acting, which almost seemed like non-acting. like something out of a cassavette's film. just so in the moment, there seemed to be no relying on any kind of technique or method. as if your makeup, clothes, hair-style, nails, and just being there, breathing in the scene and LISTENING and REACTING like is rarely scene in film. for that i am so grateful for this film for it is a lesson for me and any future work that i do. for weeks after i could not stop thinking about you., i was obsessed with seeing everything you had been in. blown away by GUMMO. i was so impassioned by your work. it solidified for me why i want to be an actor, and reminded me of the kind of work and projects i want to be a part of. i couldn't let go of you or your performance for weeks. i wanted so much to talk to you, share with you these feelings, because i can tell you're unique in the sense that you wouldn;'t pull a star-attitude and that you would truly want to hear it. one night my boyfriend and i had gone to see BEING JOHN MALKOVICH at the union square loews and i walked into a bodega to buy cigarettes and on my way out the door you walked in! right past me. i was stunned to stillness. to think that you, who had affected me on so many levels, had brushed right by me. so i watched you through the flowers in front of the bodega (freaky i know)and my boyfriend chris was like: what are you doing? i said: SSSSHHHH, chloe's buying cigarettes or something, since you had nothing in your hands. you seemed impatient waiting on line (you looked fabulous by the way) and you did your famous eye-roll that makes me melt. then you walked out and i watched you walk away. GOD! your walk! everything about you chloe. i'm just utterly fascinated. i am blown away by all the work you do and i am so excited to follow the rest of your career and i pray for the day that i work with you. i can not tell you the feelings inside of me at the prospect of seeing you work in front of my eyes in WHAT THE BUTLER SAW. i don't know what i will do after the show if i get to meet you. i don't want to be an annoying whiny fan because my feelings for you are greater and way too respectful for that. i picture would say way more than any verbal adulation. break a leg with the run! i'm sure it will be an amazing growing experience for you. which brings me to the point of your growth. You're one of the handfull of artists who i can actually see the growth you make. i commend you on your decision to do a play. very courageous of you. i'm sure you will be awesome. i will always hold walking past you as one of the most invigorating moments of my life. again, i hope that some day i can tell you this in person and some day work with you. so till then, have a great time with the show. i'm glad you're moving to nyc!!!! sal navarro |
