Chloë's Good Friend Tara Subkoff has a Brain Tumor
Tarable, tarable news coming out of New York today. Tara Subkoff, the gorgeous Imitation of Christ designer (and Chloë Sevigny's style mentor), has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Although benign, it will be fatal if not operated on immediately. According to an e-mail circulating in the fashion community: "The operation should take place in August if Tara is to avoid deterioration in her mobility and hearing, possible facial palsy and other symptoms. The tumor has exceeded three centimeters, which places extreme urgency on removal and rules out radiation and less invasive methods of treatment. There are eleven specialists involved, due to the extremely delicate area around the tumor." A benefit is scheduled at the Deitch Project in New York for July 16th. All proceeds from the benefit would go towards covering the remainder of the costs of the operation, and possibly to the care that will be needed afterwards. Chloë Sevigny and William Dafoe, to Topline Lynch's 'My Son'
(BloodyDisgusting.com - Posted February 8, 2009)

Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Bug), the incredible Willem Dafoe (Daybreakers, Anamorph, American Psycho) and the intriguingly beautiful Chloë Sevigny (Zodiac, The Killing Room) have all signed on to star in Werner Herzog's psychological horror tale My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done, reports Production Weekly. Son is loosely based on the true story of a San Diego man who acts out a Sophocles play in his mind and kills his mother with a sword. The low-budget feature will flash back and forth from the murder scene to the disturbed man's story. A guerrilla-style digital video shoot on Coronado Island is tentatively set for March.  Read more at BloodyDisgusting.com
Chloë Sevigny: Beyond the labels
No slave to fashion or a stylist, the actress can dress for herself -- and outdress everyone else  (LaTimes.com - By Rose Apodaca, Special to The Times- Posted March 18, 2007)
IT girl. Indie queen. They're the labels that Chloë Sevigny just can't seem to shake. Never mind that at 32 she's hardly a girl. Or that she's Oscar nominated, stars in an HBO series and can be seen in "Zodiac." No matter how mainstream her career becomes, Sevigny perpetuates a renegade allure. If she can be accused of being truly indie about anything, it's her fashion sense. Here's a Hollywood star who dares to walk the red carpet without an overpaid stylist dictating what shoes she should slip into. She admits to doing her own makeup and hair because, well, it's easier. Whether her choices leave everyday observers giddy or gob-smacked, Sevigny pulls them off to such effect that the fashion world goes ga-ga at every choice.     Read more
