Sevigny Takes Aim At New York Sock ManActress Chloe Sevigny has launched a verbal attack on a grumpy New York retailer, comparing him to the Soup Nazi in hit TV comedy Seinfeld. Marty Rosen, owner of The Sock Man in the Big Apple's East Village, came under attack from Sevigny after she encountered the moody manager during a recent shopping trip to his store. Likening him to the rude chef on comedian Jerry Seinfeld's show, she says, "I love that place, but the guy's the grumpiest man on Earth. He's like the Soup Nazi, but he sells socks." But Rosen, who reportedly raises his voice at customers who take too long browsing or ask too many questions, is refusing to change his ways - suggesting Sevigny was only offended because he had no idea she was a star. He tells the New York Daily News, "I have my moments. I'm from New York, we all have our moments. "Dealing with retail isn't the easiest thing, and maybe she came in when I was grumpy. Maybe she was upset that I didn't know who she was. "(Sevigny) still shops here, so I'm not going to say anything to dis (insult) her. I'd rather let it go and say I'm the grumpiest sock man in New York City. I don't care. I'm the Sock Nazi." (posted 01/04/09) |

Check This Out: Jonathan Liebesman's The Killing Room Poster
December 31, 2008

by Alex Billington
Our friends over at ShockTillYouDrop have served up the last poster
debut of 2008. The poster is for Jonathan Liebesman's The Killing
Room, a thriller premiering at Sundance in the Park City at Midnight
section. You may recognize Liebesman's name, as he directed Darkness
Falls and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and is attached
to direct the upcoming Battle: Los Angeles. The film is a
psychological thriller about four people who sign up for a research
study only to discover that they are now subjects of a brutal,
classified government program. Definitely check out this rather
interesting poster.
Clea DuVall, Timothy Hutton, Nick Cannon, and Shea Whigham star as
the four individuals who join the program. They're also joined by
Peter Stormare and Chloë Sevigny. We've also included a few photos
from the film beneath the poster below to give you a better idea of
the look and feel of it. Interested?
As a group, they are presented with a series of questions and a
finite window of time by which each of them must submit a unique
numerical answer. Presumably the subject who is furthest from the
correct response will be "removed" from the experiment. They soon
come to realize that, in this lethal psychological game, the correct
answer is not always the right one. Behind the scenes, the mysterious
and brooding Dr. Phillips (Stormare) deviously pulls the strings as
the most recent addition to his team, military psychologist Ms.
Reilly (Sevigny), is emotionally torn by her first assignment.
The Killing Room is directed by Jonathan Liebesman, of Darkness Falls
and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning previously. The
screenplay was co-written by first-time writer Gus Krieger and Ann
Peacock (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, Nights in Rodanthe). The
film will be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January
where it will be looking for a US distributor. Expect to hear plenty
more about The Killing Room in 2009!

Past Boyfriends (posted 05/12/2007)
|
|
Actress Chloë Sevigny finds it hard to get over past
boyfriends - and flirts with the idea of getting back together with
her former loves. The Boys Don't Cry star counts Jarvis Cocker of British
band Pulp and comedian Paul Kaye among her previous romantic conquests,
but admits her propensity for lingering love can be tough. She says,
"When I fall in love, I fall hard, and I feel that a little bit of me
is still in love with all of my exes. I always think, maybe I should
still be with them. "I don't think their wives would like that very
much!"" Contactmusic.com

Sevigny: 'Hilton is Trashy (posted 04/05/2007)

|
Actress Chloë Sevigny insists she isn't a fan of PARIS
HILTON - branding the socialite "trashy". The Boys Don't Cry star was
recently told she was 'sexier than Paris Hilton' by a journalist - and
she couldn't be more relieved. She says, "Well, I don't find trashy
sexy, so I'll try to take that as a compliment. I think it's sexy to
be a little bit mysterious." Contactmusic.com
