Chloë is 25, born on 11/18/74. Chloë was brought up in Darian, a small town in Connecticut, a suburb of New York, about an hour and a half 's drive from Manhattan. She has an older brother Paul, born in 1972. She went to the local high school, where she insists she had very few friends. She used to sneak to New York at the weekends and soon moved there permanently; escaping the small town mentality of Darian, to hang out with the skate kids in Washington Square Park and party at clubs like Nasa. She'd live with friends or, occasionally, she'd go to raves and stay there all night, "because I didn't have anywhere to go. I'd just stay until the next day and keep going." Chloe worked over a Summer as an intern at Sassy magazine. Daisy Von Furth, who styled the Sonic Youth video for "Sugar Kane", had heard about Chloe's natural style and oddly seductive good looks and cast her in the video. This led to Chloë modeling at New York launch of Kim Gordon and Von Furth's X-Girl fashion label. The Lemonheads followed suit, featuring Chloë in their video for "Big Gay Heart". She also appeared in her first fashion shoot for New York's Paper magazine, while working part time at Liquid Sky, a clothes and techno record shop -a pit-stop hang out for club kids. Most recently Chloë has been preoccupied with the recent death of her father, who was a major influence and love in her life. She now lives with her mother at home in Connecticut and, when she's in New York, with Harmony Korine, her boyfriend since they finished filming Kids. After she did Kids, she spent all the money she made on this trip to London and Paris. She lived with an old boyfriend of hers, Misha, who was at Chelsea College of Art. Her brother used to call her Schmo. Filmography includes: Kids, (JENNIE) Trees Lounge (DEBBIE), Gummo (DOT), Palmetto (ODETTE), The Last Days of Disco (ALICE), Julien Donkey-Boy, A Map of The World, and Boys Don't Cry (LANA)...they were released in 1995, 96, 97, 98, 98, 99, 99, and 99 respectively. Soon, she will appear in the 2000 American Psycho opposite Christian Bale. She has appeared in many TV ads as well, including the recent HBO Production If These Walls Could Talk 2, with Vanessa Redgrave, Ellen DeGeneres, Sharon Stone, and Michelle Williams. Chloë has modeled runway for Miu Miu, the younger and hipper line from Miuccia Prada. She is a big fan of thrift shopping. She won four major awards in 1999 for Boys Don't Cry (Best Supporting Actress) although there was a lot of competition from Girl, Interrupted's Angelina Jolie, who is the same age as Chloe. She lost out at the Golden Globes, the ShoWEST Awards, and the Academy Awards to Angelina, but picked up the Golden Satellite as well as praise from the L.A. and Boston Film Critics for her portrayal as Lana in Boys Don't Cry. -I think that's it.
