Harvard educated, serial killer. The social satire follows his life
of endless gourmet dinners at fancy restaurants, designer clothes, rough
sex, and violent murder in the late 1980's. After a colleague presents
a business card superior to his, hatchets fly, chainsaws rip, and surgical
instruments mutilate. Chloë Sevigny plays Jean, Bateman's secretary.
American Psycoho made its world premiere at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival.
The film shot in Toronto and New York and was released in April 2000.
